Consumer Council Opportunity - ref# V8254

We have a paid opportunity for adult patients AND/OR caregivers (of someone) with HEMOPHILIA A or B with an INHIBITOR that is sponsored by a company who has treatment for this condition.  Chosen participants would be required to attend a consumer council meeting on-site.  But there is limited availability, so please apply quickly.

WHAT IS THIS?

Within these types of meetings, participants are generally asked to share personal experiences from living with a chronic condition along with their opinions of treatment options, needs, challenges, etc.

This opportunity is for:

  • Diagnosis requirement: Must be diagnosed by a physician with Hemophilia A or Hemophilia B with an Inhibitor. This includes:

    • Individuals 18 years or older who meet the diagnosis requirement.

    • Parents/caregivers of a minor who meets the diagnosis requirement.

  • All severity levels are acceptable.

  • Both men and women are welcome to apply!

  • Participants must be willing to share their experiences and thoughts while being respectful to other people and different opinions.

  • No accompanying guests will be permitted. U.S. residents, only.


DATES

  • BEGINS: Friday, May 16, 2025

  • ENDS: Saturday, May 17, 2025

Schedule:

  • Day #1 - Participants will arrive in Dallas, TX for a welcome reception/dinner that evening. Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International is the nearest airport for guests flying in.

  • Day #2 - The meeting will begin approximately from 8:30a-3:30p to allow guests ample time for departures to return home later in the evening/night. Breakfast and lunch provided.

All referenced times are in Central Standard Time.



ACCOMODATIONS & REIMBURSEMENTS

Accepted applicants will receive:

  • One (1) round-trip airfare ticket departing from his/her nearest airport, arriving in Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport no later than the afternoon of 5/16/25, and departing Dallas no earlier than late afternoon/early evening on 5/17/25 to return home.

  • Hotel accommodations are provided for one (1) night only.

  • Fair market value compensation for Meeting time - $1,000.00 minimum

  • Meals provided

    • Day #1 - Dinner

    • Day #2 - Breakfast and lunch

 
 

Covered (reimbursed) expenses:

  • Travel to/from home and airport (mileage for personal car or fees for a taxi/Uber/Swift)

  • Checked bag fees

  • Airport parking (for Day #1 - Day #2, only)

  • Meals during travel time

  • If driving rather than flying, mileage will be reimbursed comparable to the government rate, as well as hotel parking for day #1 - day #2.

*Itemized receipts must be provided for all reimbursable expenses.

 

Expenses NOT covered include, but not limited to:

  • Any hotel accommodations outside of day #1 and day #2

  • Hotel incidentals

  • Any additional meals purchased outside of the travel windows will not be reimbursed

  • Candy, gum, alcohol and other similar items
