“We have stories you won’t believe…”

We believe it's time for their voices to be heard and for their unique needs to be addressed with the same level of care as their male counterparts. That's why we've created a platform to share their stories and highlight the challenges they face.

Welcome to our webpage dedicated to shedding light on the experiences of women with bleeding disorders. For far too long, these women have been ignored, leading to unequal and inadequate healthcare.

Contact Paul Wheatley if you’d like to share your story.

We would like to express our gratitude to HAF and its Innovation Award for sponsoring this project and helping us to make a difference in the lives of women with bleeding disorders.

30 for SHEmophilia

To better understand their experiences, we've created a new campaign ‘SHEmophilia’. Part of this project is a series of films. Here you can find a 30-second promo video featuring several women sharing their personal stories. We encourage you to watch it and share it with others to help spread awareness.

Film Premiere

Our 2023 SHEmophilia film premiere provides an opportunity to continue the conversation and bring attention to this critical issue.

Know a great doctor?

Recommended Healthcare Provider Survey for/by women with bleeding disorders

We want to build a database to include your recommended healthcare professionals (HCP’s) as a resource for women with bleeding disorders for whom the quality of healthcare advice has traditionally been substandard. We understand that healthcare for women is very different from one HTC to another, (sometimes within the same HTC) or region to region, and there is no one consistent standard of diagnosis, treatment, and care for women.

We’d really love to hear if you have a great doctor/specialist you could recommend.
