Who can accompany qualifying attendees?

Up to two (2) parents/caregivers or legal guardians, and
Siblings living in the same household
OR

Spouse or significant other, or

We listen. CHES understands that the impact of inhibitors extends further than just the participant.
My inhibitor has been tolerized more than 5 years ago - why can’t I attend?
InhibitCon is designed to create an adapted environment for those with inhibitors, while providing a place to connect with others with similar challenges. A myriad of educational programs are available for those in the hemophilia community not currently managing an active inhibitor.
Will there be medical coverage?
We will have two highly skilled nurses with multiple years of experience familiar with managing hemophilia with an inhibitor on duty all weekend to provide guidance, not treatment. There are two HTC’s in LA, Children’s Hospital of New Orleans and Tulane University. Both are within 20 minutes of the hotel.
How much does it cost to attend?
There are little to no costs associated with attending once the trip is completed. Because of numerous, last-minute cancellations, a $25/person registration fee is required before booking travel to attend the program with a max of $100 per family.
Travel related expenses including tolls, mileage, and parking will be reimbursed, with limitations. Air transportation will be arranged for you. Most meals will be provided on site. Learn more on our policies and guidelines page.
Will the location be accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility devices?
We ensure that every location we choose offers accessible accommodations and facilities in compliance with the American's With Disabilities Act. Accessible accommodations include entrances, rooms, meeting areas, and elevators.
What should I bring?
Your factor/meds and supplies, as there will NOT be any on site. Also bring your enthusiasm and willingness to reach out so we can learn from each other!
What about patient confidentiality?
Information that you share or hear will be treated with the utmost respect and never disclosed without your permission. We want participants to feel comfortable so that we may support one another.
How does CHES fund programming?
CHES Foundation competes rigorously for grants provided by manufacturers to support educational programming. We are an independent chronic disorder education company, unaffiliated with any one entity that provides products to the communities we serve.
