Hi friends,
Thank you to Christopher for stepping in while I was traveling for work (LadyBugs and NBDF's BDC) and fun (college tours, gulp.)
As Christopher mentioned, we had a tremendous LadyBugs event! Thank you to the industry partners who stepped up to build a bridge between talking about the importance of supporting women with bleeding disorders and actually taking action. I am hopeful we will get even more support in the coming months to continue to draw attention to the need for women to be SEEN, HEARD, and SUPPORTED!
Up next for us is our InhibitCon West taking place in Portland, Oregon in October. Applications are open! See link below!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by the CHES exhibit booth at BDC or attended inhibitor sessions led by or attended by us. Whether you are a new friend or a friend with more patina, we truly appreciate the support and community. Please continue to encourage your friends and family to seek out CHES. CHES will always stand by our 3 pillars; Inhibitors, Ultra-Rares and Women!
Best,
Heather

Mental Health First Aid is a national "evidence based, early intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance abuse challenges." I cannot recommend it highly enough- the website it easy to navigate and there are frequent virtual trainings in English and Spanish! Substance use and mental health challenges are rampant in the community- educate yourself to help a friend or family member!

Obesity is not just a problem in the US, but a problem for the BD community with the impact of extra weight on joints. This can be especially true for individuals aging with BD with risk factors such as pre-diabetes, diabetes and heart disease.
