Bleeding Disorder News # 109: Factor 10 Day! InhibitCon West was WILD! One Drop in November!

Friday's BD News #109: Community News to Use! 🩸
Hi,
The CHES team is just back from InhibitCon in Portland, Oregon! We hosted inhibitor patients and their families from all over the country and had a Leverage pre-con the day before with one of our favorite partners, Gut Monkey. The weekend offered engaging education on a variety of hot button topics for the inhibitor community, deep connections, and some truly epic 90s costumes. Thank you to our Legacy Platinum sponsor Hemabio, Platinum Sponsor Novo Nordisk, and Diamond sponsor Sanofi, for their tremendous support of Inhibitcon!
In addition to celebrating the success of InhibitonCon, we are also celebrating FACTOR X today! Yes, 10/10 is Factor X day!  A diagnosis of Factor X deficiency is one in one million. If you or someone you know has Factor X, please let them know about CHES's post con event at One Drop where we will be hosting additional programming specific to the FXd community.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of attending any CHES events is watching the relationships grow. At InhibitCon, I witnessed young adults mentoring younger affected youth, new moms getting true and solid advice from older moms, and many occasions of families supporting each other through difficult conversations and challenging times. The stories of the little kids showing each other their ports and giving high fives is EXACTLY why we show up and continue to provide safe spaces for learning and connection. Thank you for the support and engagement at events and throughout the year!
Be kind to each other,
Heather
